What Drives the Price
- Size: height, trunk width and spread
- Location: near a house, fence, pool or wires means more rigging
- Condition: dead or storm damaged wood is riskier
- Access: whether trucks can reach it
- Extras: haul away, chipping, stump grinding
Get It in Writing
A good quote names the tree or trees, says what is included, lists the stump work separately and states the total. Ask for proof of insurance. If a quote is a number on a napkin, ask for a written version.
Why Very Low Quotes Are Risky
A price far below the others may mean no insurance, no safety gear or a plan to add charges later. If the crew damages your roof, you could be stuck with the repair.
